Substance abuse, chemical dependency and addiction are not terms to be used lightly. An authorized diagnosis can be the ticket to getting the help you need to live a life free of illicit substances. Duke City Recovery Toolbox in Albuquerque, New Mexico provides diagnostic services to help you qualify for medication-assisted treatment and other therapies to help you overcome drug and/or alcohol addiction.
The Importance of a Diagnosis
Medication-assisted treatment is highly effective, but it is not available to everyone and it isn’t free. A formal diagnosis is required for eligibility in treatment programs that offer methadone or other addiction recovery medications. Medicaid also requires an official diagnosis before any recovery-related services will be covered.
A medical diagnosis may also qualify participants for other types of aid, including financial assistance, housing subsidies, food benefits and more. A diagnosis can also help participants to better understand their condition—to see dependency/addiction as a disease that requires treatment rather than a mark of poor choices and failed willpower.
Medical and Clinical Diagnosis
At Duke City Recovery Toolbox, we offer diagnostic services to determine your eligibility for medication-assisted treatment. A formal diagnosis is provided by both a physician and a member of our clinical team.
