Many people struggle with opioid dependency and/or drug addiction for years before seeking treatment. At Duke City Recovery Toolbox in Albuquerque, New Mexico, we don’t want to make you wait any longer. In order to provide timely appointments for medical services, we offer telemedicine.
What Is Telemedicine?
Telemedicine is a computer program that allows our physician and a participant to see and communicate with each other when the doctor is not present in the clinic. Telemedicine allows our physician to virtually conduct many routine office visits.
Telemedicine Availability
Telemedicine is available nearly any time our physician is not present at the clinic. Our physician is present every other week, so telemedicine is routinely available during the “off” weeks. Telemedicine may be available as needed any time Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.
Benefits of Telemedicine
Telemedicine reduces participants’ wait times to see a doctor. Timely doctor visits are required for:
- Formal substance abuse diagnosis
- Admission to a medication-assisted treatment program
- Medication dosing changes
- Authorization for at-home doses from the pick-up pharmacy
Telemedicine allows you to start and progress in your treatment program without delays because the doctor is nearly always available.
Schedule Your Intake Appointment
To begin addiction recovery services, contact us to schedule an intake appointment, or come in to our clinic. Walk-ins are welcome Monday through Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 am. Whether your see our physician in person or via telemedicine, if you are eligible for medication-assisted treatment, you will receive your first dose the same day.
